I am writing to you from my office in Macau. A group of Chinese businessmen have been negotiating to buy Sid’s place in Phoenix. When they heard I was planning on moving to China along with a couple of the other women they asked Sid if she would consider moving her operation to Macau. Sid discussed it with her clients and the next thing I know everyone with a passport is on a private jet. When we got here, Sid announced she was planning to be a very silent partner and turn day to day operations over to me. Needless to say, I have been consumed with the details since we arrived a few weeks ago.
I totally missed Christmas, but then Macau is more of a place Santa would visit after the Western Holiday.
I’m keeping an eye on U.S. activities and it sounds like, as expected by this writer, Duh-Bya has left a very expensive and depressing set of problems that are going to be very hard to deal with, even for a President Elect who can apparently walk on water. I’m keeping my U.S. citizenship, but I think I’ll only come back for an occasional visit. Asia is clearly going to be the place to be over the next 50 years.
Since I no longer live in the U.S. it wouldn’t be fair for me to continue this commentary. B.L. alluded to the power shifts that are occuring and the need for us to consider the possibilities afforded merely by allocating our resources someplace else. I took his words to heart and reallocated my ass-ets over here. How are you preparing for the radical changes about to alter our world forever?
